2020 here I come...

As a senior in high school that has terrible writing abilities, a lot of ideas constantly nagging her, and way to much free time, I decided to restart my blog that I had to do for eighth grade English.

Most people say I have very unique views on things, like how Christmas is stressful because you have to tell people what you want. Having to choose between what color I should make my penguin is stressful enough, but having to choose what people spend money to get me is just the icing on the cake. Then you go back to school or work or even to Starbucks and you see things and you're like damn, that's a good item, I should've gotten that. Now, you're stuck browsing the internet for things that you could potentially want, but think it's too expensive to get or you'll never use it or whatever the case. Your google search history is filled with things like things all college students must have, ___ year old Christmas gifts, or scroll through youtube watching MY 2018 CHRISTMAS HAUL. After 5 hours of searching, the best thing that you came up with was a fluffy pillow and a blanket.

What's even better, though, is that it's so easy to get stuff for most people. Of course, you always have that one weird friend or family member that you don't see very often but always have to give something because they're that close, so you get like a nutcracker or something. But finding things for your mom or best friend are so easy because you can always find something that they can use, even if it's something small. I think it's so great that you can just look as one of your friends or family members and be like they would definitely like/appreciate ____. On top of it, its so amazing to just look at the receiver's face and feel like you did well, that you made everyone around you happy.

I fully understand that the holidays are all about spending time with family, being appreciative for what you have, and to put emphasis on giving, not receiving. I always try to be around my family and friends as much as I can for the holidays, especially since I will be going off to college soon.
All this is here for is to hopefully make your day a little brighter or understand that another person has the same/different views as you, or even just give some insight into your life.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
